Since the academic year 2022 - 2023, a new study program has been opened in the first cycle Bachelor in "Natural and Environmental Sciences", with a double degree, between the University of Tirana and the University of Tuscia (Viterbo)., Italy. The program structure, curriculum and course content are the same as those developed in this existing branch at the University of Tuscia. Teaching in this program takes place in English. Two universities are committed to create opportunities for the students of this program (Albanians, Italians and other possible ones) at the end of their studies to be equipped with two diplomas, one from the University of Tirana and one from the University of Tuscia. The two universities are also committed to creating opportunities for student mobility between the two institutions, where students from the University of Tirana can attend at least one semester at the University of Tuscia and students from the University of Tuscia can attend at least one semester at the University of Tirana. Already, the University of Tuscia has provided several scholarships for Albanian students of this branch, to complete a semester of studies at the University of Tuscia. Also, the priority of this program is the possibility of exchange of teaching staff between the two universities.
