Objectives of the study program Graduates will be able to plan, direct, organize and participate in working groups and group projects, which enable the use of statistical methods and various econometric models to achieve successful solutions according to their needs Graduates will be able to acquire the skills to communicate and collaborate with people in different roles such as methodologists, analysts, developers, database analysts to solve different problems and to achieve the objective. Graduates will acquire skills to understand and analyze different statistical methods to evaluate social phenomena, measure economic performance, etc. Graduates will be able to solve economic problems by identifying, analyzing, developing and implementing solutions, based on econometric models and statistical analysis. Graduates will gain the ability to maintain current knowledge of new methodologies, to address critical user needs related to requirements, strategic goals, and day-to-day operations. Graduates will be able to demonstrate the ability to understand and apply ethical considerations to various problems in the statistics environment. Graduates will be able to develop skills in analytical, strategic and research planning and project management.

In order to be admitted to the Master of Science in Official Statistics, the student must possess a Bachelor's degree or a diploma of the old system (4 years) issued by the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana, or a Bachelor's degree in "Informatics", "Technology Information" issued by the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana Or "Computer Engineering" Bachelor's degree, issued by the Faculty of Information Technology, Polytechnic University of Tirana As well as similar programs of foreign universities (without supplementing formative knowledge). For students who may come from other Albanian or foreign institutions of higher education, who hold a diploma similar to that of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Tirana, the documentation is examined on a case-by-case basis.
