This degree programme is designed to give graduates technical, managerial and entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. The programme helps equip students to develop innovative engineering products and solutions and turn them to financial advantage. The programme is designed for graduates with a first degree in a relevant numerate subject.

The programme combines excellent engineering education in areas that are key to developing new technologies (namely, advanced materials, renewable energy and biomedical engineering), with modules in project management and entrepreneurship. These are combined to equip students with the fundamentals and skills required to manage innovation. Students undertake a group and an individual project with a focus on innovation.

Students undertake modules to the value of 180 credits.

The programme consists of four core modules (60 credits), two optional modules (30 credits), an individual research project (60 credits), and an Innovation and Group Design Project (30 credits).

Upon successful completion of 180 credits, you will be awarded a MSc in Engineering with Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

A minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor's degree from a UK university in a suitable engineering subject, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Candidates with qualifications in other subjects allied to engineering will also be considered.
