The Cleveland State University educational administration and supervision program is based on a conceptual framework of the Administrator/Supervisor as a Visionary Practitioner. Graduates achieve outcomes reflecting the five knowledge bases that compose this model: organizational change, relational, developmental, contextual, and ethical. These knowledge bases are applied to the programs within the environments of urban and suburban schools, which are culturally diverse and include students with disabilities. The program enables participants to gain the conceptual, technical, and theoretical knowledge in the human resources area needed to assume principal ship or other entry-level administrative positions. Key areas explored in the program are curriculum, supervision, guidance, personnel administration, community relations, school management, and school law.
