Architecture, which is considered the oldest profession in the world, is an integral part of the construction sector, which is considered the largest sector in all countries of the world. In the architectural profession, in order to create quality living environments in the future in line with the knowledge of the past, it is necessary to present new theories, applications and technological developments through research, and to seek solutions to local and universal built environment problems by conducting research based on universal scientific criteria.

At this point, the aim of the Architecture PhD program is to provide the student with the ability to conduct independent research in line with the specialization he/she has acquired, to interpret scientific events by examining them from a broad and deep perspective, and to determine the necessary steps to reach new syntheses.

Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must submit a recognized bachelor’s degree diploma and transcript for master’s applications.
  • Turkish-taught programs require at least C1 level Turkish proficiency.
  • GRE, GMAT, or ALES scores are optional unless required by the department.
  • Original documents and notarized Turkish translations must be submitted during final registration.
  • Applicants may be invited to an oral or written evaluation by the department.
