A Computer Engineer is a person who designs the architecture of computer hardware, develops software, and ensures communication between computers and between computers and humans. The field encompassing the management of all these processes is called Computer Engineering.

Students of the Computer Engineering Department at KTO Karatay University receive project-based learning in modern computer laboratories. In addition, each student has access to a personal computer equipped with all the programs relevant to their field, allowing courses to be conducted efficiently.

The process of initiating and completing projects assigned in courses is effectively monitored through the use of proper programs and materials. Thanks to the education received in these laboratories, students become familiar with the environments in which they will work after graduation.

Students also have the opportunity to develop embedded software at the university’s Smart Technologies Center (AKİTEK). This enables them to work on Internet of Things (IoT) projects and participate in ongoing projects to improve their hardware and technical competencies. Additionally, the Artificial Intelligence Working Group, formed by Computer Engineering faculty in collaboration with academics from other disciplines, conducts significant research and projects.

Within the scope of international education, students have the opportunity to study through the Erasmus Program at partner universities in Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Portugal, which are members of the European Union (EU).
