KTO Karatay University Sociology Master's program started accepting students in the spring 2017 academic year. We have students with scholarships of different rates. In the department of sociology, firstly, qualitative research methods and discussions in social sciences, current theories, modernity, globalization, development policies, poverty, politics, religion, society and politics in Turkey, gender problems, cultural studies, sociology of the body, urban transformation, social He conducts education, writing articles and research in many sub-disciplines of sociology, such as deviation and crime, mass communication and social media, cinema, daily life studies and values. There are 2 Professors, 1 Assistant Professor and 1 research assistant in the department. The aim of the Postgraduate Sociology Program is to train expert sociologists to meet the workforce needs first in the regional and then in the national market. Our sociology department offers quality education and rich research opportunities with its experienced academic staff who have conducted postgraduate studies at reputable universities in Turkey and the world. The most important goal that our graduate unit wishes to achieve is to reconstruct sociology with a largely local understanding and material that includes our country's people, social structure and realities, rather than providing education and training only in line with western theories and studies.

Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must submit a recognized bachelor’s degree diploma and transcript for master’s applications.
  • Turkish-taught programs require at least C1 level Turkish proficiency.
  • GRE, GMAT, or ALES scores are optional unless required by the department.
  • Original documents and notarized Turkish translations must be submitted during final registration.
  • Applicants may be invited to an oral or written evaluation by the department.
