This program primarily aims to educate specialists who can meet the workforce needs of the regional market and subsequently the national labor market. Our graduates, who are capable of working as social researchers both in academic settings and in the field, will contribute to human capital in this regard. In line with our understanding of sociology, the department is committed to conducting its undergraduate and graduate programs within a critical approach and aims to educate students who benefit from historical knowledge, understand the needs of the times, develop strategies accordingly, are open to new ideas, methods, and concepts, and possess an interdisciplinary perspective.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must hold a recognized high school diploma with a minimum passing grade as specified per country (generally 55–60%). Required documents for pre-registration: high school diploma or proof of final year enrollment (with English or Turkish translation), official high school transcript (stamped and signed, with official translation), document confirming that high school education is formal (not online/distance), national or international exam result document if applicable (valid for 2 years), criminal record (officially certified), bank receipt for scholarship exam fee (500 TRY), and application pre-registration deposit fee (500 USD, non-refundable). Required documents for final registration: original high school diploma (notarized, in English or Turkish), equivalence certificate from the Turkish Ministry of National Education, criminal record (notarized), official transcript (notarized), passport photo page copy, 2 biometric photos, tuition fee payment receipt
