As a long-standing institution in the world of education, KTO Karatay University continues its efforts to achieve successes that will shape the future of humanity, in fulfillment of the historical responsibility it has inherited from the Karatay Madrasa. Undoubtedly, receiving a history education at an institution whose roots trace back to the Karatay Madrasa—built during the time of the Anatolian Seljuk Empire—is a privilege.
Our History Department students, accredited by the Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Education Programs in Science, Literature, Science-Literature, Language, and History-Geography Faculties (FEDEK), have the opportunity to evaluate historical events firsthand by coming together with numerous academics and individuals from various fields of history through the History Society. For example, they have embarked on a journey through history with Timsal Karabekir, the daughter of Kazım Karabekir Pasha, one of the commanders of the War of Independence and the Battle of Kut-ül Amare.
The History Department is accredited by the Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Teaching Programs in the Faculties of Science, Letters, Science and Letters, Languages, and History and Geography (FEDEK). Click here for the accreditation certificate.
