Over the next decade, AI is predicted to revolutionise sectors such as healthcare, transportation, banking and entertainment, and greatly enhance productivity, efficiency and convenience across all sectors. Intelligent, adaptable and resilient smart apps powered by AI, machine learning and intelligent automation will enjoy enormous growth. In fact, today’s current global AI market value of US$100 billion is expected to increase twentyfold by 2030, up to nearly US$2 trillion, with such growth requiring a host of new positions and skills.

The Applied Artificial Intelligence specialisation – specially designed to provide IT skills to those who have an undergraduate qualification in an area other than IT – is taught by experts in computer science and related disciplines such as business and philosophy. You’ll critically examine emerging trends and topics, such as machine learning and natural language understanding. You’ll consider ethical, legal and socioeconomic implications of AI, and evaluate the sustainability of AI solutions in an industry context. And through hands-on experiences, you’ll be exposed to practical aspects of AI alongside theoretical perspectives.
