It’s about creating environments that maximise potential and value every learner, while addressing persistent challenges such as systemic implementation and inconsistent practice. Educators, support professionals and aspiring leaders all have a vital role to play in making inclusion visible in classrooms, schools and communities.
The Inclusive Education specialisation offers a rigorous program of study that integrates research, theory and practice to prepare you to lead inclusive change. You’ll examine legislative, ethical and policy frameworks; investigate how social constructions of disability and ableism affect access to education; and analyse how cultural, social, economic and political factors shape participation. Guided by leading national and international experts – and through structured communities of practice – you’ll reflect on diverse perspectives, co-design responses to sustained challenges, and complete a research-informed project that can serve as a pathway into the Master of Research.
