- HSC Mathematics Standard 2 or equivalent. If you don't have the assumed knowledge, you're advised to include a quantitative methods elective unit in your first year of study.

- HSC Mathematics Extension 1 or HSC Mathematics Extension 2 plus HSC Information Processes and Technology and/or HSC Software Design and Development, or equivalent.
