At the end of the training process subject to the Gynecology-Obstetrics postgraduate curriculum, the postgraduate is a doctor:

Specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics with solid bio-psycho-social-spiritual comprehensive information, which meets the professional care needs of both adolescents, women of reproductive age, and post-reproductive, both in health and in disease; with pertinent criterion, performs the referral of gynecological-obstetric patients to subspecialists and surgeons of recognized competence.
Wide domain of health prevention programs.
Applies scientific and clinical methods in gynecological-obstetric research and clinical management.
With high performance and expertise, it solves gynecological-obstetric health problems of varying complexity.
Integrated into the multidisciplinary health team, as well as with the standards of the National Health System and with leadership skills, he manages a gynecological-obstetric care service.
With significant knowledge of perinatology, he identifies, attends and refers patients for specialized care.
Transmits and shares knowledge and experiences, participating in health education actions aimed at gynecological-obstetric patients and other social groups, as well as in disseminating medical knowledge, to their peers, as well as to new generations of health professionals. .
