To cite a few examples: mobile devices, social networks, cloud computing, internet. Computing solutions require operating under very restrictive conditions: low power consumption, reduced size, unlimited connectivity, continuous service. It is these restrictions that mean that the design of these solutions requires multidisciplinary methods in which the development of the hardware and the software that will operate on them must be highly integrated to meet the required specifications. These engineering methods have phases in which the functionalities that must be implemented in both hardware and software are analyzed, creating new technological development methodologies. In Latin America and the Caribbean, engineering, science and technology professions will be among the most sought after in the immediate future. On the other hand, at the national level, a study on the Main Indicators of Science and Technology Activities, carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC), reflects the need for higher graduates in the fields of Research and Development (R+ D), Scientific and technological education and training, Scientific and Technological Services, and Management and administration of science and technology.

Applicants, to enter the career, must have obtained their Bachelor's degree, passed the entrance exam or the admission course and present the following documents:
Degree certificate endorsed by the Ministry of Education or in its replacement a notarized copy of the bachelor's degree
Copy of identity card, in colors
Original certificate of conduct from the college where you graduated
Original of the psychological test issued by the UCSG.
Three (3) passport size color photos (passport size)
Basic services sheet (water, electricity or telephone)
Both the conduct certificate and the psychological test do not affect the entry of the applicant to the career. Both are required to establish an accompaniment in the first cycles of the career, in order to guarantee an adequate adaptation, inclusion and personal development of the student.
The basic services form is requested for the purpose of registering and confirming the student's home address. This information is of interest to the Student Welfare Unit in charge of the processes related to differentiated pension among other services.
