On November 30, 1992, during the Deanship of Ing. Mauro Toscanini Segale, the University Council approved the creation of the International Business Management specialization, endorsed by the University of Toulouse in France, born as a response to the need to find personnel prepared with knowledge of Economy, Foreign Trade, Administration and Languages ​​(English-French), manifested by different companies consulted. This knowledge will facilitate the development of the functions of the Administrator in a globalized environment, where international forces affect even the companies that operate in a country, therefore, it is necessary to have people who master techniques of commercial exchange between countries.


As of 2017, when all our careers have been redesigned, by legal provisions, our career changed its name to International Business, maintaining its international career profile with a high academic level.

Requirements

In this context, the applicant must have a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, in accordance with the law, they will accept the baccalaureate degrees obtained abroad, recognized or equated by the Ministry of Education.  In addition, to be a student at the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, the applicant must comply with and approve the admission process as stated in the "Second Annex" of the Institutional Pedagogical Model, which is in harmony with the National Leveling System and SNNA admission and that includes:

National applicants

  • Approval of the course for the entrance or examination for the entrance.
  • Application for admission in kind valued.
  • Color copy of the citizenship card.
  • Three passport-size color photos.
  • Notarized copy of the bachelor's degree (*) or the endorsed degree certificate.
  • Valid study visa and / residence for foreigners (*)
  • Psychological Test obtained in the Faculty of Philosophy of the UCSG;  does not apply to SNNA applicant
  • Certificate of conduct that will be considered only to qualify the income and internal control.

(*) The Ecuadorian or foreign applicant who has obtained his bachelor's degree abroad must present them duly recognized by the Ministry of Public Education of Ecuador, with its corresponding Endorsement.

Applicants entering by Homologation

In accordance with the Organic Law of Higher Education (LOES), with articles 62;  63;  64 of the Academic Regime Regulation, the Regulation for the regulation of fees, enrollments and rights in the (RRAMD) and other internal provisions of the UCSG, through the Regulation of Homologation of Studies, courses or their equivalents for undergraduate students, will recognize five types of cases for homologation according to what is established in it whose classification is described in chapter 1, Art. 2

  • External type 1 approval (HE1)
  • External type 2 (HE 2) approval
  • Internal type 1 approval (HI 1)
  • Internal type 2 (HI 2) approval
  • Approvals for change of modality in the same race (HI 3)
