Social Work is a profession in the field of Social and Human Sciences, it is oriented to intervene in human development and the problems arising from all forms of exclusion, inequality and social injustice, from the design, coordination and evaluation of policies, plans, social intervention programs and projects; from a comprehensive perspective.


That is why the UCSG Social Work Career provides theoretical-practical training, in response to the nature of the profession and the social and labor demand, in order to have graduates whose knowledge, ability, skills and values are oriented to:


  • Human development, based on the inalienable principles of Human Rights.
  • The management of human talent, the strengthening of social and productive organizations, social responsibility and the quality of work life.
  • Social intervention with individuals, families, groups, communities, organizations and territories; especially, aimed at families and priority attention groups.
  • Social research, for the understanding of family, organizational and social realities.
  • The promotion of the actorship of the subjects, as citizens, and the promotion of social networks, which affect institutional political frameworks.
  • The attention of users of public and private institutions that provide actions for the guarantee of human rights and the fight for the eradication of poverty and violence and exclusions of gender, generation, ethnicity and territory.

The documents that the applicant must present to enroll in the Admission Process (course and / or exam) are:

  • Color copy of citizenship card
  • Passport size photos (3)
  • Copy of the voting certificate (if applicable)
  • Copy of the endorsed degree certificate or notarized copy of the bachelor's degree or equivalent Certificate
  • Copy of the certificate of conduct issued by the College.
  • Psychological test taken at the UCSG Psychology Laboratory.  ENTER HERE  Does not apply to SNNA applicants
  • Copy of basic services form (water, electricity, or telephone).
  • Compliance with the English diagnostic test (carried out by the UCSG Language Center).

NOTE:  It is important that applicants bear in mind that being a standard-bearer, having a better bachelor's degree, having some type of scholarship or the acquisition of the Education Plan does not confer direct approval of the admission process or exempt from compliance with all the requirements.
