The Rey Juan Carlos University, founded in 1996, is the most modern of the six public universities located in the Madrid region. With a current student body of about 46,000, it is the university with the second highest number of students in the Madrid region. The university’s modern buildings are distributed over its five campuses in Alcorcón, Aranjuez, Fuenlabrada, Madrid and Móstoles.
International students are drawn to the Rey Juan Carlos University due to the high-quality training provided by over 2,000 specialist teaching staff. The annual intake of more than 5,000 international students, pertaining to 113 nationalities, can obtain any necessary support through our University Language Centre. In the 2008-09 academic year the Rey Juan Carlos University began to offer joint honour undergraduate degree programmes, and since their implementation the choice has increased due to the boost from the European Higher Education Area. Rey Juan Carlos University ranks as the Spanish university with the highest number of joint degree courses which make it possible for students to take two degrees simultaneously thereby broadening their horizons professionally. Increasingly, students require courses which will ensure they obtain university degrees covering a wide range of possibilities and at the same help students acquire the type of profile expert companies seek.
