The objectives of the Degree in Tourism are defined taking into account the characteristics and evolution of the tourist activity developed in a context of rapid transformation and demands for quality, competitiveness and sustainability and growing internationalization. We consider it important to highlight the following training objectives of the Degree in Tourism: respond to existing training needs, facilitating knowledge of useful tools for decision-making in the current context of tourism; offer a basic training corpus of a superior nature that allows technical specialization and management of tourism companies and institutions; address essential aspects for the development of competitive advantages in relation to tourism products and destinations; generate specialization profiles that consider both the needs of business management and the management of collective aspects and, in particular, the tourist use of natural and cultural resources; homogenize the transmission of knowledge in tourism, avoiding the fragmentation of the contents to be imparted by excessive areas of knowledge; AND create the conditions for the development of multidisciplinary research lines. In addition to the previous training objectives, a common objective for all URJC degrees is to promote mobility, especially international mobility.
