Students who choose to pursue the Degree in Telecommunications Systems Engineering will acquire all the basic knowledge necessary to design, optimize and manage a huge variety of telecommunications systems. In the first place, they will begin by studying the fundamentals of Information and Communication Technologies (electronics, electromagnetic propagation, fundamentals of computers, fundamentals of networks and communications systems). Once these fundamentals are understood, the student will study in depth and from a practical point of view the current telecommunication systems, both wireless (3G and 4G networks, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, satellite communications, GPS location, etc. ) and wired ( fiber optic, ADSL, etc). The approach for all these topics is similar: the student will learn to design, maintain, optimize and manage networks and systems of all these technologies. This learning will be carried out in a very applied way, with a multitude of practices in laboratories, using professional programs for the design of telecommunication systems frequently used in the workplace and coming into contact with companies through different activities, such as lectures, lectures given by professionals in the sector, internships in collaboration with companies, etc.
