Configuration goals :

Among the most important justifications and objectives of training in the Master are the following ::

1- Due to the presence of one specialization in the Department of Psychology and Education Sciences, it was necessary to have the specialization of Educational Psychology within the department as well.

1- The total absence of specialists in educational psychology in reception centers for groups with special needs.

2- The university has never contributed to the formation of executives in this specialization who carry out the tasks of caring for these groups, whether in centers or schools within the special departments,

4- There are no trained personnel specialized in the field of educational psychology so that they can undertake the training of specialized educators in each category of people with special needs.

5- The field of people with special needs has expanded from the previously known categories, namely: mental retardation, motor disability, to a significant number of categories, namely: mental retardation, motor disability, emotional disorders, autism, learning difficulties, behavioral disorders, hearing impairments of all levels, disability Visual skills with their levels, talent and excellence... Therefore, the number of people suffering from these disabilities has increased from what it was previously. Therefore, it was necessary to take care of the people with these disabilities in terms of education and family and social guidance on the one hand, and in terms of education: by adapting the curricula, teaching methods and aids on the other hand.

6- The department works through this specialization to deal and participate with the institutions and bodies affiliated to the Ministry of National Solidarity as well as the Ministry of Education to coordinate in order to provide appropriate services to children of these groups in the various fields that they need by training educators who undertake the tasks of service and care for people with special needs.

7- Contribute to serving groups of people with special needs through education, vocational training, and their integration into society so that they become actors like others.

The training project in the master's degree in educational psychology aims to prepare facilitators of higher education in the apprenticeship so that they scientifically supervise internship students in terms of academic preparation and field training in the units that need field work in specialized institutions.

Opening a Master in Educational Psychology allows the continuation of this branch with the conversion of the old system (Master) to the new system (Master) and thus allows students of both education systems to participate in postgraduate studies in this major.

- Given that educational psychology includes all psychological and educational disciplines.

- A graduate of a master’s degree in educational psychology can teach in these disciplines mentioned for some of the units related to his formation, and he can also supervise the work of the students he teaches, such as internships, graduation notes, and field work that students need to complete their studies.
