Study Level
Masters
Study Mode
On Campus
Training aims
This offers a complete training adapted to future researchers and designers. This training focuses on the multi-scale modeling of materials and structures. Students complete their training by choosing optional modules aimed at consolidating their theoretical bases, specifying their scientific and technical languages, and acquiring a professional calculation approach. The objectives are:
Mastery of tools for modeling the physical phenomena involved: (mechanics of solid and fluid continuous media, wave propagation, vibrations, etc.).
Mastery of the basic tools for describing the behavior of materials and their applications: damage, phenomena of fatigue, creep, relaxation, etc.
Mastery of concepts related to comfort and the environment: building thermal and acoustics, energy systems, sustainable development, etc.
Mastery and practice of digital tools: finite element method, algorithms for solving nonlinear problems, use of simulation software.
Discovery of the main construction language and techniques: site organization and planning, construction economics,
Valuation method
This training is intended for students who have already graduated in one of the following specialties: Civil engineering (any option) or public works (after study of the file), and any other specialty is justified by an equivalent course in terms of educational content and this after approval of the scientific committee of the department. The acquisition of knowledge is assessed by regular continuous monitoring and practical tests as well as a final exam. There will be one exam session per semester followed by a remedial session for each semester. The course is sanctioned by a master's thesis of initiation to research.
Opportunities for training
- Building construction companies
- Design offices
- Technical control centers
- Public works
- Administration and others
- Technical education
- Expertise and consultancy.
- Judicial expertise.
- Follow-up of construction sites: B.T.P of medium and large scales.
