Training aims:
The
many courses offered in our focus allow students training in the
fields of probability and/or statistics, whether theoretical or
applied. The objective of the training is to learn how to model and
study random phenomena, as well as to explore the applications of
these mathematical methods in other sciences: data sciences,
statistical physics, theoretical physics, biology, ecology, theory
information, signal theory.
Training
The "Probability and Statistics" master's degree trains high-level statisticians who are destined either for teaching or research in an academic or industrial environment or for professions relating to the science of data and their processing, the growth of which accompanies the widespread use of databases
Opportunities:
- a master's degree specializing in statistics
- a Ph.D
- or any other specialized training or allowing to obtain a double competence.

• Organizations and research center
• food industry
• international organizations
• statistical offices
• financial companies
• biostatistics
• Pharmaceutical industry
• large companies in the climate sectors
• Transport industries (aerospace, aeronautics, naval, automotive)
• Energy industries (nuclear, solar, wind, oil) energy and transport.
Possible professions
Many professions are within your reach at the end of a Probability and Statistics Maths Master's degree. In particular, you can become:
• Teacher – researcher
• In charge of statistical and economic studies
• In charge of economic studies
• Economic forecaster
