Admission Requirements
Doctoral candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A domestic or foreign recognized equivalent university degree and detailed academic transcript
- Postgraduate Diploma from a domestic university or a recognized postgraduate degree from a foreign university and detailed academic transcript
- Certificate of excellent knowledge of the English language and/or another foreign language. Excellent knowledge of the foreign language is certified as follows:
a) by submitting a recognized certificate of foreign language proficiency
b) by a higher education degree from a foreign University
For foreign doctoral candidates who do not hold a degree or postgraduate title from a Greek University, a prerequisite is the possession of a certificate in the Greek language, provided that Greek is determined as the language of writing their doctoral thesis.
Doctoral candidates who do not hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Theology are required, during the first year of doctoral studies, to attend thematic modules relevant to the research subject from the Graduate Studies Program of the Department of Theology in order to enhance their theological knowledge.
