Program Educational Objectives - Program Educational Objectives (PEO) describe the attributes that we aspire for our graduates to possess three to five years after graduation. The BS degree program in Mechanical Engineering Technology will prepare graduates with the technical and managerial skills necessary to enter careers in analysis, applied design, development, implementation, or oversight of advanced mechanical systems and processes. Helping you achieve your goals is important to us! Our hands-on learning approach will give you the required knowledge and skills to help solve tomorrow’s engineering problems. While pursuing the B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology degree, you will have several experiential learning opportunities through co-ops, internships, the capstone design experience, and a variety of student organizations (i.e. IEEE, NSBE, and SAE Mini Baja).
The responsibilities of graduates from the Mechanical Engineering Technology program span multiple industries and the career paths are diverse: Aerospace, Automotive, Bio-Technology, Chemical, Computers, Construction, Consumer Products, Energy, Electronics, Engineering, Consulting, Entertainment, Government, Nano-Technology, Robotics.
