This degree programme covers the technical principles of computer science (computer architecture, implementation, networks), the efficient use of standard and specialised computers, as well as new approaches to computing hardware.  In the field of microelectronics, the design and description of analog and digital circuits is covered and practical designs are implemented in microchips or FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays).


Depending on the personal preference, either Emerging Computing or Microelectronics can be chosen as field of focus.
