The course also covers the relevant historical, philosophical and theoretical foundations of law.

The Faculty of Law at Heidelberg University enables students of law with a Bachelor’s degree from a university outside Germany to complete a two semester course to acquire the qualification “Legum Magister” (LLM). The Master’s degree programme is intended to be studied full-time in Heidelberg. Students become familiar with the key elements of the German legal system, including international and European law. Students also have the opportunity to further develop their knowledge in selected areas of law.
