Normally candidates for this course will hold a first degree or evidence of level 6 / 7 study achieved at or above a minimum pass grade or equivalent However, candidates will be considered for the course that have experience related to the areas of study for example already working in emergency planning resilience and response.

A good standard of written and spoken English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent) is required.

Accreditation of prior experience and learning (APCL) – students may apply for up to 90 credits of APCL (accreditation of prior certificated learning and/or accreditation of prior experiential learning) subject to the guidelines set out in the SHAW APL Guidelines.
