The MSc / MA Health and Wellbeing ‘Top Up’ course is designed to allow students to ‘top up’ their existing Post-graduate Diploma qualification (or equivalent) in any health, welfare or social care related subject to a full master’s qualification. This will be achieved by producing a 60-credit independent study in one of three options: A research dissertation; An evidence based practice module containing two summative assessments, usually of relevance to student’s current workplace – which runs in October each year; or A consultancy report, usually of relevance to student’s current workplace. The course caters for both students who are currently working in the health, welfare or social care fields and for students who are not currently working in these fields but hope to enhance their post-graduate skills and knowledge in order to take up such employment.
