The robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) fuelled by the rise in computer processing power, the profusion of data, and the development of techniques such a ‘deep learning’ is undergoing a major transformation. This course combines the fields of robotics and AI to offer students conceptual grounding in intelligent systems, and the chance to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. A placement can be undertaken anywhere; local or national for example. During a placement, each student will be doing similar work to a normal employee of the organisation.
