Strength & Conditioning (S&C) is the application of various sport and exercise sciences, which has at its heart the preparation of sports people for their varied and distinct activity needs. This degree is ideal for those aspiring to work with sports people to help them develop their readiness for sport or regain condition after a lay off or injury. S&C coaches work alongside a sports coach to assist in designing specific programmes that will address the needs of the athlete, team and sport. S&C is therefore about more than lifting weights - it encompasses the entire development of the athlete and what is needed to improve physical performance.
