Birkbeck's BSc Computing with Foundation Year provides a perfect route to study for those who do not meet the entry requirements for direct entry to an undergraduate computing degree, who do not feel they are quite ready for an undergraduate degree, or who are returning to study after a significant break and need extra help and support. The Foundation Year will cover the main subject areas of computing.  Upon successful completion of the Foundation Year, students will automatically progress to the three-year, full-time, evening study BSc Computing. The BSc focuses on key software development skills, including algorithms and data structures, systems analysis and design, programming, software testing and project management. This programme is accredited by the British Computer Society. Graduates are ideally suited to various IT and computing-related roles in a range of companies. This includes systems analyst, programmer, software engineer, web developer, project manager, IT consultant and database developer.
