This programme builds on the School of Law's experience in providing postgraduate legal education at Master's level. Studying over one or two years, students will have an opportunity to tailor their programme of studies to their own professional or research interests. A personal supervisor will help students choose their best path through a wide range of options. Students will choose six option modules from the wide range on offer in the School. For one of these option modules each student may choose to undertake a research project. Graduates go in to careers in the legal profession, government, the private sector, and research or journalism. Possible professions include barrister or solicitor, researcher, or journalist. This degree can also be useful in becoming a chartered legal executive, licensed conveyancer, human resources officer, or patent attorney.
