Our MSc Business Analytics is designed to enhance your skills in data analysis and evidence-based decision-making. It is ideal if you are looking to develop your knowledge and technical skills in an area of high demand by all types of organisations.

What you will learn 

This course provides a blend of technical, quantitative modules in data analytics alongside more applied business-focused modules that will develop your ability to make data-driven decisions within a business and organisational setting.

You will develop the skills to analyse and interpret data to generate insights and intelligence, apply forecasting methods to model scenarios that inform organisational decision-making and solve complex business problems, and communicate technical information to different audiences.


How you will learn 

You will be taught using a variety of means including pre-recorded lectures, seminars, online discussions, Moodle discussion forums, self-directed study, reading, activities in the computer laboratories and one-to-one discussions with tutors (in particular during dissertation supervision meetings).

You will also take part in practical sessions on data analytics, simulation and other statistical data analysis exercises using available datasets, web analytics services and established analytical tools to enhance your knowledge, skills and understanding in business analytical techniques. 

This MSc Business Analytics is available to study full- or part-time.  It has both a daytime and an evening timetable  with classes taking place in the afternoons or evenings, so you can choose  what suits you best  depending on work, family, or other commitments.
