In healthcare institutions, the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections with up-to-date definitions is important for the effectiveness and reliability of all diagnostic and treatment practices. Infection control committees have been established in all inpatient treatment institutions for this purpose. It is very important for the effectiveness of these committees that healthcare professionals who will serve on these committees have sufficient knowledge and experience in infection and control. The experience of healthcare personnel who will serve on these committees and in units with high infection risks such as intensive care, dialysis and neonatal wards in preventing and controlling infections will play a critical role in achieving the goal of ‘zero hospital infection’. The aim of the Hospital Infection Control Thesis Master’s Program is to train healthcare professionals who can provide services in all inpatient treatment institutions and who are experienced in hospital infection control. Students who complete the program will be able to apply to the Hospital Infection Control Doctorate Program.
