Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Geography was established in 2009.
There are four departments in the Department of Geography: "Human and Economic Geography", "Regional Geography", "Physical Geography" and "Turkish Geography".
1 Associate Professor, 3 Dr. Lecturer It continues its education and research activities with its academic staff consisting of members and 2 Research Assistants.
With the relocation of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to the new building complex within the University campus in 2011, the Department of Geography gained modern, healthy classrooms and laboratories for both education and research activities.
In addition to one lecture hall with a capacity of 64 people and two normal classrooms with a capacity of 50 people, our department has a GIS laboratory, a cartography hall, an education laboratory and a research laboratory.
During the four-year education period, our students, in addition to theoretical and laboratory studies, go on field studies in different periods and times and have the opportunity to observe and interpret the geographical concepts they have seen theoretically under field conditions.
Our students' optional internships in different institutions and organizations provide significant advantages in terms of job opportunities after graduation.
