The Midwifery Thesis Master's Program within the Midwifery Department was deemed appropriate to be opened at the meeting of the Higher Education Council dated 14.02.2024. The program will start education as of the Fall Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year. The aim of the Midwifery Thesis Master's Program is to train expert midwives who increase their advanced midwifery basic knowledge and skills with professional leadership skills and work with a holistic approach in cooperation with the team in midwifery practices. Graduates from this program with the title of "Master of Science in Midwiwery". Those who successfully complete the thesis Master's program can work as expert midwives. They can be appointed to research assistant or lecturer positions in private and public universities, provided that they are successful in the Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Exam (ALES) and foreign language exams. They can continue their postgraduate education by applying to doctoral programs and advance their academic careers.
