The Occupational Therapy Department, opened on 07.04.2021 within Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Faculty of Health Sciences, aims to increase the independence of individuals in all age groups in daily life, fulfill their vital roles, ensure social participation and increase the quality of life by using different occupational therapy intervention techniques with meaningful and purposeful activities. It is a health profession with a 4-year undergraduate education. Students who successfully graduate from this department work as 'Occupational Therapists' in public and private institutions.
The aim of the occupational therapy undergraduate program is to provide students with the ability to synthesize theoretical and applied knowledge, plan and implement person-centered occupational therapy evaluations and interventions, ensure social participation by increasing the independence and quality of life of people through meaningful and purposeful activities, and provide lifelong learning, clinical reasoning, critical thinking and interdisciplinary work. To train occupational therapists who can perform evidence-based practices with their skills and have professional ethics and competence.
