Anthropology, which means human science, is a field that strives to understand and explain the morphological and cultural structure of humans, their origins, development, social organizations, the extent to which they are different or similar in terms of belief and value systems, and the reasons for these similarities and differences, and deals with all aspects in line with the understanding of universal science. It is a branch of science. It examines the changes of humans and their ancestors from prehistoric times to the present day, on an individual and social basis, from many different perspectives. The Science of Anthropology reveals aspects such as daily life, social and cultural structure, political organization and belief systems through the material culture elements produced by human communities throughout history and tries to reconstruct the past in the light of the information it obtains. In short, everything related to humans falls within the scope of anthropology's study. Our department, which was established in 2008 to provide education in this direction, started its activities in the 2009-2010 academic year. A training program created by the combination of Paleoanthropology, Physical Anthropology and Social Anthropology departments is implemented in the Anthropology Department of Ahi Evran University.
