One of the most important principles in life is ensuring everyone enjoys unequivocal access. For learners with sensory disabilities – those who are deaf or hard of hearing, and those who are blind or have low vision – accessible and effective learning experiences are especially important. A career working with individuals with hearing or vision loss in a way that addresses their individual needs, is an opportunity to help them achieve their developmental and educational potential.

The Master of Disability Studies provides teachers with the capabilities to adapt content, develop teaching methodology and apply specialised instructional techniques to meet the needs of individual learners; and allied health professionals the opportunity to provide superior support and rehabilitation services. This degree will increase your employment opportunities in inclusive education and within the disability sector.

Note: This degree is delivered by NextSense – a Sydney-based not-for-profit that supports individuals with hearing or vision loss through education, cochlear implants, therapy, research and clinical services – in affiliation with Macquarie University.
