This Ph.D. program is established to cultivate doctoral talents with advanced visions for the biotechnology industry, innovative technologies needed for the development of industry, and R&D capabilities on biotechnology product research. Its main development is to create a precise biomedical research and development platform and to integrate the university’s interdisciplinary research with industry. Based upon academic research, the program sets up its main direction to help to solve the problem on clinic medicine and industrial applications. It is expected to integrate the interdisciplinary technology and faculty resources of the college with the strong R&D capabilities of the university’s information and communication technology (ICT) and thus bring Taiwan’s biotechnology industry into the innovative domain. It will not only upgrade the domestic biotechnology industry but also establish a mutually beneficial model of industry-academia cooperation.
