This program is a full time, two-year program of concentrated, advanced study in a specialized area of creative pursuit. Students in CCPA's Master of Music program are fully immersed in their chosen area of study through private lessons and coaching, performing ensembles, and seminars, developing professional competence and the capacity to make effective artistic and intellectual judgments. Candidates for a Master of Music degree with a major in performance will study important works from the traditional and modern repertory and will present a well-balanced recital of appropriate difficulty. Today, the piano program builds upon the rich foundations long associated with Maestro Ganz Forging its own distinct path in this new century, the program is adapting to changing circumstances in an ever-evolving classical music world. While continuing Ganz's spirit of exploration and visions of furthering the art form through the music of the present, the program maintains its focus on integrity and excellence: embracing and revering the master composers of previous centuries, for they provide the eternal nourishment and spark that fuels the entire art form.
