The UAB has signed partnership agreements with the University of Bamberg, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, the University of Graz, and Jagiellonian University in Kraków. If you choose the UAB as your entrance university (where you will be officially enrolled) and any of the four partner universities (Ca’ Foscari, Graz, Bamberg, or Jagiellonian) as your mobility destination, you will begin and complete your programme at the UAB. As part of the programme requirements, students must earn at least 60 ECTS at the UAB (typically 45 ECTS of coursework + 15 ECTS attributed to the MA dissertation) and at least 30 ECTS at the mobility university. Additionally, 30 ECTS are awarded for the MA thesis during the integrated mobility semester, which is mandatory for graduation.
This Joint Programme has been successfully educating students for over a decade and offers a unique opportunity for students in English and American Studies to gain international academic experience at two renowned European universities. Students interested in applying must submit applications to both the Joint Master’s Programme in English and American Studies and the Master’s in English Studies at UAB. Admission Requirements
Admission to this Master's Programme is granted to persons holding an academic degree of at least 180 ECTS credits (bachelor’s degree or equivalent programme of at least 180 ECTS) in a field relevant to the Joint Master’s Programme in the Humanities including graduates of modern and classical languages.
Applicants with degrees in other languages and possess a degree in philology may be considered if their preparation is deemed appropriate by both the Joint Master's Programme and the specific institution to which they are applying for admission as their entrance university.
