The LIVE programme, comprising 120 ECTS credits, is multidisciplinary, international, and highly focused on the training of new professionals. The programme has the following 3 objectives. 1) To learn Immunology and Infectology, in order to become an expert in Vaccinology. 2) To join the international academic and industrial networks. 3) To participate in public policies on health and education related to knowledge, development and application of vaccines. Students receive tuition in Barcelona, Antwerp and Lyon during the first 3 semesters, and in the 4th semester they undertake a placement in a company or research centre affiliated to the programme, which could be in one of a number of countries. There are 7 higher education institutions affiliated to the master's programme, as well as over 50 of affiliated companies and centres, engaged in research, development and the manufacture of vaccines.

Admission Requirements

Students are eligible to apply for admission to the LIVE if they have completed the equivalent of an EU secondary school education (approximately 12 years of formal education starting at age six) and a bachelor's degree (approximately 3 years in high educational institution). Applicants must have either an appropriate diploma or leaving certificates for their secondary school and bachelor's degree. EU students must have obtained at least 180 ECTS. The Master LIVE is a programme of excellence in learning and research, looking for Biochemists, Bioengineers, Biologists, Clinicians, Pharmacists and Veterinarians.
