The master's degree in Translational Biomedical Research is an official programme designed to train researchers of excellence, equipped with the necessary combination of scientific and medical knowledge and skills to contribute to the success of translational biomedical research in the future. The programme aims to help you enter and become familiar with the world of biomedical research, as well as being the route of access for the doctoral programme. The most outstanding characteristic of this master's degree is that it is taught integrally at a third level health research institute. Lectures are offered by basic and clinical researchers and doctors who are in constant contact with hospital patients. The master's degree consists of two very different parts. During the first semester you will enrol in classroom-based theoretical classes. In addition to that, there is a five- to seven-month period in which you will work closely with VHIR researchers, and doctors and patients from the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, to further your academic training and gain professional experience.
