General Information
The aim of the human resources master's program is graduate the students who with have an academic knowledge on sociological, analytical, legal and psychological issues, ability to interpret these concepts with a human resources management perspective and can fulfill the basic human resources management functions. On the other hand, it is aimed to contribute to the training of researchers who follow the innovations and changes in the field, examine the social relations in the working environment and their social and individual effects, and who can conduct theoretical and empirical studies at national and international academic level.
Program Learning Outcomes
1) Deepens the theoretical knowledge of the field of HRM.
2) Establishes relations with other related disciplines.
3) Evaluates the applications in the field of HRM with a critical perspective.
4) Presents academic studies related to the field of Human Resources.
5) Analyzes scientific studies related to HR with different approaches.
6) Evaluates HRM practices in our country by comparing them with international practices.
7) Can use statistical analysis methods.
8) Can design and execute human resources applications such as job analysis, job evaluation, human resource recruitment and placement, performance appraisal.
9) Gains the ability to evaluate globalization and its reflections on the business world with his/her theoretical background.
10) Understand the psychology of human resources, determine what needs to be done to increase motivation and productivity.
Qualification Awarded
When the program is successfully completed and the program qualifications are met, a Master's degree in Human Resources is obtained.
Specific Admission Requirements
The student who wants to regist in the master's program must have completed the processes determined by YÖK and passed the exams within the framework of the academic and legal regulations of the university. Candidates who will apply for a master's degree must first have a Bachelor's Degree and have a valid minimum score from ALES.
Access to Further Studies
Graduates who successfully complete the master's program can apply to doctoral programs both in their own fields and in multidisciplinary fields, provided that they get a valid grade from ALES and provide English language proficiency.
Graduation Requirements
The master's program with thesis consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course and thesis, with a total of not less than twenty-one credits. Seminar course and thesis work are non-credit and evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. A master's program with thesis consists of a total of at least 120 ECTS credits, including at least eight courses, including the seminar course, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS credits in one academic term.
The duration of the master's program with thesis is four semesters, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program they are registered in, excluding the time spent in scientific preparation, regardless of whether they are registered for each semester, and the program is completed in a maximum of six semesters.
Those who cannot successfully complete the credit courses and seminar course in the curriculum at the end of four semesters or fail to fulfill the success conditions/criteria stipulated by the University within this period; A student who fails in the thesis study or does not defend the thesis within the maximum period of time is dismissed from the University.
