Department of Mathematical Engineering was established in Faculty of Engineering by the decision, in resolution of Gümüşhane University Senate No. 26 of 18.08.2010, and approval of the Board of Higher Education (date: 28.09.2010, no: B.30.0.EÖB.000.00.03–04.01). Department consists of 3 divisions namely Applied Mathematics, Applied Mechanics and Systems Analysis.
Our department plans to accept 45 regular education and 45 evening education students, a total of 90 students, in 2012-2013 academic year. Department’s academic staff is composed of four assistant professors, and three lecturers and one research assistant. Studies to gain foreign faculty members to the department continues.
