Public Finance program aims to examine the financial relations between the state and society, to evaluate the developments in the field of finance and economy, and to provide students with an analytical and critical perspective. In this direction, students are offered courses such as finance theory, tax law, tax system, state budget, local government finance, fiscal judgment, as well as courses such as economics, law, accounting, mathematics and statistics. Thus, it is desired to train personnel who have the necessary equipment to meet the needs of the public and private sectors regarding financial and economic issues. The Department of Public Finance consists of four departments. These are "Public Finance Theory", "Budget and Fiscal Planning", "Financial Economics" and "Fiscal Law".

History of  Program: Public Finance Department has been accepting students since 2013.

Degree Earned: Department students have a "bachelor's degree" upon graduation.

Admission Requirements: Our department admits students through central exams conducted by OSYM. Admission conditions for foreign students are announced on the university's website at the beginning of each academic year.

Transition to the Upper Level: Candidates who successfully complete their undergraduate education can study in graduate (master's and doctoral) programs.

Graduation Requirements: Students who successfully complete all of the courses in the program worth a total of 240 ECTS and achieve a grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 are eligible to graduate. In addition to successfully completing the courses, a graduation work is essential for graduation.

Assessment and Evaluation: Students are subjected to midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is 40% and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. It is obligatory to get at least 45 points from the all exam. Students who get one of the letter grades of AA, BA, BB, CB and CC from a course are considered successful in that course. In addition, students with a grade point average of at least 2.00 for a semester are considered successful in the courses they received with a DC letter grade. At the end of each semester, students can take the make-up exam for all the courses they failed in that semester.

Employment Opportunities: In addition to professions such as Finance Inspector, Court of Account Auditor, Customs Inspector, District Governor, Administrative Judiciary Judge, Independent Accountant and Financial Advisor, they can find jobs in other public institutions, banks and different institutions of the private sector, or they can work independently. In addition, in line with the academic career goal, it is possible to have professions such as research assistant and lecturer.
