Admission Requirements

Candidates are normally expected to have a minimum 2.ii Bachelors degree in a numerical science. 

Graduates from other subject areas (e.g. Geography, Geology, Biology or other sciences) and those with two or more years relevant work  experience are also encouraged to apply. Applications will be assessed on individual merit. Applicants are expected to demonstrate high levels of motivation and experience in their Personal Statement and CV and must have qualifications in mathematics to A-level (or equivalent) or beyond.

All applicants are expected to supply a satisfactory Personal Statement which demonstrates knowledge of the programme and a clearly stated motivation. Personal Statements written in a generic format, without reference to the programme will be rejected.

All applications must be accompanied by reference. (The reference requirement is waived for recent Bangor University graduates only).

International applicants whose first language is not English or Welsh are required to provide evidence of English language proficiency. Minimum English language requirements are IELTS 6.5 (with no element below 6.0), or equivalent.
