The Sociology Doctoral Study Program is under the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Brawijaya University. Established in 2013, accredited A. We have doctor-course-work and doctor-by-research classes, with lecturers consisting of 12 Professors, five Doctors, a doctor of social innovation practitioners, and a doctor from Channel Suez University Egypt as a join-supervisor, as well as two professors from the University of Melbourne and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) as visiting professors. We are committed to research and innovation in contemporary social issues, designed to equip students with a strong theoretical and methodological understanding, enabling them to lead innovation in social projects. Our curriculum structure reflects this program with courses in Philosophy of Science, Sociological Theory, Research Methods and Writing Scientific Papers, Reading Course, Society and Social Innovation, Contemporary Social and Cultural Issues, Contemporary Political Issues, Religion, Conflict and Social Change, and Digital Sociology. We focus on a trans-disciplinary approach to generate innovative solutions to social problems. We open opportunities for international collaboration between researchers and practitioners so that students can be involved in collaborative research projects that influence social policy to contribute to developing a more just and sustainable society.
