Fisheries Agrobusiness Study Program is a study
program that held educational processes in the field of fisheries
socio-economics by prioritizing sustainable fisheries business development and
an entrepreneurial spirit with the main focus on fisheries community and
small-scale fisheries business, especially in East Java and the eastern part of
Indonesia, based on case and project learning methods. Implementing three
scientific competencies (fisheries business and entrepreneurship; fisheries
sociology and institutions; as well as economics and management of fishery
resources), the Fisheries Agrobusiness Study Program aims to create
professionals which have unique character, good personality, entrepreneurial
and competitive spirit at the international level by implementing the fisheries
socio-economics sciences. Upon completion of the study, a wide range of career
paths is provided to the students, such as 1). Entrepreneur &
intrapreneur: Business-preneur, Socio-preneur, Edu-preneur, Eco-preneur,
etc.2). Educator (teacher,
lecturer, mentor), and study master, 3). Researcher, 4). Expert/Consultant, 5).
State Officials: Department, Extension Service, Supervisor, Fisheries
Socio-Economic Analyst, Researcher, Educator, Banker; 6). Private Sector:
Banker, Fisheries-businessman. To be able to carry out this profession, the
ability to: a). see, take, and create an advantage of opportunities for
fisheries business, social, education, ecology, and other sector; b). develop
businesses in the field of fisheries business, social, education, ecology, and
other sectors creatively, innovatively, and appropriately manage risks; c).
Master science and technology in the socio-economic field of fisheries,
especially: in Fisheries Business and Entrepreneurship; Fisheries Sociology and
Institutions; as well as Economics and Management of Sustainable Fishery
Resources; d). educate by disseminating knowledge, skill, and attitude refers
to the development of science and technology in the socio-economic field of
fisheries; d). plan, implement, analyze, interpret, and make recommendations
